"Read, you are filmed" is a film produced by the French Institute of Israel in the form of filmed readings in French, Hebrew or Arabic. You will hear the diversity of languages singing together the power of words and voice. Open to any resident of Israel, aged 16 or over, the call for applications launched last November resulted in more than thirty contributions in the form of filmed readings aloud. The literary texts (novels or poetry) had to be chosen around the theme of "Near and dear", the common theme of La Nuit des Idées 2021. The readers chose to film themselves indoors or outdoors. The whole film, offered in 3 versions - in Hebrew, Arabic and French - thanks to the intervention of literary translators, is punctuated by Oud music and jazz. In total, the spectator will discover eleven readings selected for their artistic and technical quality.
