As part of the celebration of International Women's Rights Day on 8 March each year, the French Institute of Congo (IFC) launched the campaign "#Tosala! (Let's act!) campaign in collaboration with several women artists from Congo.

The aim of the campaign is to inform and raise awareness among the Congolese population about the various forms of violence against women and women's leadership. The programme of this campaign includes meetings and debates, exhibitions, documentary screenings and dance performances throughout the month of March 2021.

The #Tosala movement, born from the documentary of the same name directed by Flore Onissah with the support of the French Institute of Congo, has attracted the attention of the African and French media (Afrikanews, Les Inrocks, Nova, Nouvel Obs, etc.).

#TOSALA (Let's take action!)

The 18 most famous Congolese artists, singers, slammers and rappers unite against violence against women in 10 Congolese languages: Mboshi, Makoua, Kongo, Lingala, Bembé, Kitouba, Lari, Teke, Hangala, Vili and French.
