A way to explore our relationship to space and to others, for each of us and within our societies.

The Night of Ideas is an annual event, dedicated to the exchange of ideas and knowledge around the world. This project is in collaboration with the “Institut Français” in Paris.

It will be held in Bahrain, on January 28th, 2021 at the Matar House at 5:30 pm.

Every year, the Night of Ideas is an invitation to discover the latest knowledge, to listen to those who are advancing ideas in all fields, and to discuss the major issues of our time.
For this 6th edition of the Night of Ideas, the theme « Closer » has been chosen with the idea of questioning the renewal of our individual and collective relationship to space, new forms of solidarity and the place of digital technology in our societies, which more than ever shapes our relationship to the world. While our modernity is characterized by an ever-increasing process of extending our access to the world, the theme philosophically poses the problem of the « right distance » to people and things.

Join us for a round table to bring and built a diplomacy of ideas with our panel of speakers :

▪ Dr. Elie Flouty, consultant media at the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities
▪ Ali Bazzaz, artist, writer and gallery owner
▪ Dr. Hasan Hujairi, artist, composer and writer
▪ Océane Sailly, PhD candidate and founder of Hunna Art
▪ Saïd Nourine, Director of Alliance Française Bahrain
