The Night of Ideas in Los Angeles was held from 7pm to 2am. The event aimed to provide the public with a flow of ideas and creativity, through an eclectic set of discussions between major thinkers from different disciplines (philosophy, history, literature, architecture, visual arts, music, science...) as well as artistic performances (dance, music, film screenings...). The event was held in the city's flagship venue, Bergamot Station, a complex of 32 galleries that allowed the public to move freely between the two debate rooms and the artistic performances. The event brought together French and American thinkers from academia, research and civil society, demonstrating the city's strong intellectual dynamism as well as the richness of Franco-American intellectual dialogue in Southern California.
