This year we are organizing an Andean Night of Ideas, with cross participation in different events organized in Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia and Argentina, around the same theme: Close to the Amazon.
From Venezuela we present:
1- "How telemedicine improves access to health in remote areas, the example of Proyecto Maniapure". Discussion between the French ambassador to Venezuela, Mr. Romain Nadal and Mr. Morel Orta, founding member of the Proyecto Maniapure Foundation, presentation of testimonies of doctors.
2- Culture and music: music videos on the music and instruments of the Yekwana people, video presenting the work for oboe and piano by André Jolivet, inspired by the songs of the Orinoco pirogue people. Conversation with Carlos Condé, musician of the Washé organisation, about the work of the French anthropologist Marc de Civrieux.
We also participate in :
- a round table on Amazonian cinema: participation of Carlos Conde, who is preparing a short film on the work of French anthropologist Marc de Civrieux, "Watunna", and Alexandra Henao (director) and Beto Benites (producer), to talk about their documentary "Kuyujani envenenado", a documentary that will also be accessible to the public.
This event is organised by Ecuador and will be broadcast on 29 January 2021.
