The third Night of Ideas in the Netherlands takes the general theme of the Night of Ideas from a societal perspective, and invites three Dutch speakers to the Amsterdam Central Library and online: Maarten Doorman, philosopher and essayist, Samira Bouchibti, political adviser and Niek Pas, historian and former Prix de Paris.
The debate will be moderated by a Dutch philosopher, journalist and essayist (Stine Jensen). The event will be punctuated by video clips with Boris Cyrulnik, Dominique Schnapper and Patrick Boucheron, as well as musical and stage works related to the theme. The evening will be followed by a Dutch press cartoonist, Eliane Gerrits, who will illustrate the live debates with cartoons.
