As part of the Night of Ideas 2021 on the theme "Close", we at the Alliance Française Oufa decided to explore how languages bring us closer together, and more specifically through the teaching of one's native language abroad. We are organizing an online meeting on January 28th between France and Russia. On the one hand, three Russian students from Ufa who left for France this year to become Russian language assistants in secondary school will be invited to talk about their experience. On the other hand, two French teachers who teach French at the Alliance Française Oufa will also be invited to speak. Thus, through this dialogue, similarities, differences, stereotypes in the field of teaching will be questioned to sketch more broadly what brings the two countries closer and further apart.
