Galerie R3 and the Groupe URAV (UQTR) offer a Night of Ideas divided into two sessions (10am-12:15pm, 3pm-5pm) during which lectures, debates and musical and video performances alternate. Set in the context of the exhibition by French artist Bernard Pourrière, the sound performance is highlighted as we examine our ties with our loved ones through technology. During these sequences, you can find Nicolas Bourriaud, MO.CO director and art critic, Derrick de Kerckhove, media theorist, Hervé Fischer, artist-philosopher, Pierre Ouellet , researcher and writer, Christine Palmieri, artist and poet, and Slobodan Radosavljevic, artist and teacher.
The Night of Ideas in Quebec is an initiative coordinated by the Consulate General of France in Quebec City. It brings together 15 partners in 6 cities. It is produced in collaboration with Le Lobe, Le Centre d'expérimentation musicale, Librairie Les Bouquinistes, Maison de la littérature, Maison natale de Louis Fréchette, Groupe URAV, Galerie R3 de l'UQTR, Galerie de l'UQAM, Théâtre des Petites Lanternes, Sporobole, Université de Sherbrooke, Délégation générale du Québec à Paris, ENSAD, Concordia University, Centre Pompidou, Québec BD and Lyon BD.
