On the occasion of the opening of the exhibition Déflagrations, the Mucem is dedicating its "Night of Ideas" to the practice of drawing and children's rights, with a round table and the complicity of several local and international social or humanitarian associations, from 6 pm to 8 pm, in the Mucem auditorium.
How do humanitarian actors work with children in countries at war and what are the issues they face? How do actors in Marseilles accompany children and families in the particularly acute social and economic difficulties they encounter during the pandemic we are experiencing? How can the words of children and the first-hand testimonies that their drawings sometimes constitute be better heard, accompanied and considered? What are the conditions for better legal consideration of this voice, particularly by the International Criminal Court?
This event will give the floor to actors in the field, lawyers, artists and intellectuals committed to the defence of children's rights.
The following are invited to testify:
- Zerane Girardeau: curator of the exhibition "Déflagrations".
- Olivier Bercault, consultant for Human Rights Watch.
- Anna Chamoulaud, Art and Development Marseille
- Frédérique Drogoul, MSF psychiatrist, OCP
- Hajni KISS-AGOSTINI, Director of Francas 13
- Virginie Schickel, teacher, Belle de Mai Nursery School, Marseille.
- Céline Schmitt, UNHCR Spokesperson
- François Xavier-Deler, Director of Development, SOS Children's Villages.
This round table will be moderated by Michel Gairaud, editor-in-chief of Ravi.
The list of speakers is subject to change.
