The French Embassy, in partnership with Books Upstairs and the Irish Film Institute, is delighted to welcome French writer and adventurer Sylvain Tesson to Ireland for the Night of Ideas on Climate on 26 January 2022.
- 18:00: Meeting with Sylvain Tesson, award-winning French writer and adventurer, at Books Upstairs, Dublin - Free entry: Sylvain Tesson will discuss his new book The Art of Patience: Seeking the Snow Leopard in Tibet at Books Upstairs with his translator Frank Wynne and attend the Irish premiere of The Snow Leopard, Marie Amiguet's documentary film which had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in the Cinema for the Climate section
- 17:45 Preview of the film 'The Velvet Queen' followed by a discussion with Sylvain Tesson at the Irish Film Institute, Dublin & online at IFI@HOME - Reservations : The film will be shown at the Irish Film Institute (IFI) and online (IFI@Home). The screening at the IFI will be followed by a discussion with Sylvain Tesson about the relationship between people and nature.
