The "Night of Ideas" is an annual event dedicated to the free circulation of ideas and knowledge.

The Espace Mendès France joins forces with the Night of Ideas to make it a high point that creates friction and porosities between the arts, science, cultures and society. For this rather special edition, a radio programme will be specially created to explore the theme "Close" through the sharing of knowledge and sensitive and poetic approaches.

Implemented by Le Lieu multiple, the digital creation centre of Espace Mendès France, and the centre's teams, the evening will feature live sets, podcasts that will welcome or honour artists, researchers, academics, teachers, pupils and students from our region or elsewhere, not forgetting a musical programme that will also showcase local artists.

From 6.30 pm on Thursday 28 January, listeners will be able to travel around three topics:
- feeling close: experiencing collective emotions,
- Getting closer, getting further away: migrations (in partnership with the Migrinter laboratory),
- stay close: containment proof.

The Night of Ideas 2021, carried internationally by the French Institute, is supported at the regional level by the New Aquitaine region.

Programme and broadcast on radio.emf.fr
Live on BeaubFM, Facebook Live and on the Youtube channel of Espace Mendès France.
