Close: the subject of the new edition of the Night of Ideas will be an opportunity to reflect on proximity as a source of danger but also of creative innovation, in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Four familiar personalities from Taiwan were invited by the French Office in Taipei (BFT) to share their ideas and testimonies in the form of videos: Claude KIRCHNER, who heads the National Pilot Committee for Digital Ethics in France, Léa KLEIN, Asia Director of MakeSense based in the Philippines, Clément MABI, a researcher specializing in digital democracy issues, who spoke at "G0v" in 2018, and Rudy CAMBIER, co-director of Liberté Living Lab, who also came to Taiwan in 2018 as part of "Meet Taipei".
As in past editions, this Night of Ideas 2021 follows a participatory format: during this evening, after two round tables, the participants are invited to form discussion groups around the selected themes with, at the end of these debates, a report on the proceedings.
The program was designed to allow a strong presence of French speakers on a set of prescriptive sequences in different spheres of influence in Taiwan, from the academic community to the "civic tech" community, from actors of disruptive innovation to representatives of major groups.
This evening will be broadcast in streaming by TASA, operator of the Taiwanese Ministry of Culture, partner of the French Office in Taipei for the Night of Ideas, and relayed by the Fb page of the BFT :
